we run a weekly development paddling program as part of an aftercare activity for aids orphans living in du noon informal settlement on the outskirts of cape town. we have been going for nearly two years now. it is heart warming to see how the group of young boys + girls have progressed. both in their paddling abilities but also self confidence, strength etc. we train them at milnerton canoe club, they have a warm shower + are fed a warm meal and then transported back to du noon.
